Welcome to the OU Financial Aid Services website. You'll find a wealth of useful information about the many scholarships and financial aid opportunities available at The University of Oklahoma. Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships, financial aid, and other resources by the appropriate deadlines. Use the Financial Aid Application link to go directly to the FREE FAFSA on the Web to apply for most financial aid. Visit "Ask the Sooners" to find answers fast to your most frequently asked financial aid questions.

Financial Aid Process

Here's some information about the financial aid process at OU. Be sure to apply for admission to OU ASAP!

  1. Check out What's New and the financial aid Deadlines before beginning.
  2. Have you searched for Scholarships and Other Resources to help pay for college? You can do this before or after applying for aid but the Sooner the Better!
  3. Get a Pin # at www.pin.ed.gov.
  4. Apply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on the web.
  5. You'll receive a Student Aid Report once your FAFSA is processed by the U.S. Department of Education.
  6. After OU FAS receives your FAFSA, you'll be notified via OU email if any additional information is needed or for award notification.
  7. Read and respond as quickly as possible. If you do not respond it will delay the process of your funds.
